DANVILLE, VA (June 9, 2010) - Dr. Frank Campbell, Board of Trustees Chairman for Danville Regional Medical Center, has been awarded the 2010 Board Leadership Award from LifePoint Hospitals, a leading hospital company focused on providing healthcare services in non-urban communities in 17 states. Dr. Campbell was honored for his extraordinary leadership and service to Danville Regional Medical Center (DRMC), where he has served as a member of the board for the past five years and as Board Chair since 2008.
LifePoint Hospitals’ Board Leadership Award is given each year to an extraordinary Board Chair who exemplifies LifePoint’s High Five guiding principles through:

In addition to his service as DRMC’s Board Chair, Dr. Campbell is a well known community leader who has held numerous other leadership positions in the community, including serving as President of Averett University for 17 years.
Dr. Campbell was recognized at LifePoint Hospitals’ annual Senior Leadership Conference on June 9, in Colorado Springs, CO.
